Got an insight for you that will be useful in business. Seems paradoxical but it's really not.
I go 4WDing as a hobby. Head out a fair bit, find new tracks, and push the car a bit to see what it and I can handle.
I drive best when I’m moving forward with intent. The only time I ever make it through tough terrain is when I commit and keep pushing.
The moment I hesitate, back off, or stop halfway — that’s when I get stuck. Every... Single... Time...
You’d think crawling slowly or stopping to reassess would be the safe move. But more often than not, that’s exactly what gets you stuck.
It's really not.
Momentum is everything.
Momentum kills. Pressure kills. If you're moving forward all the time a lot of worries just melt away. Problems seem to solve themselves. You're blasting hard and you have no time to fret about small stuff.
My most annoying business problems always hit me when I was standing still or slowly losing ground. As soon as momentum turns against you it just gets worse.
This is why we keep moving forward. Test new things. Try out new ads, new methods, new media, new sales ideas, new marketing, new everything.
Do. Not. Move. Backwards.
