Super quick way to improve any ad, any website, any email, any sales pitch, anything basically.
Was talking to a friend. He's a very savvy and smart businessman.
He told me that he figured out that every single time that he stripped something, removed something, got rid of an element that shouldn't be there...
... the end result got way better.
Not a little better. Significantly better.
And isn't that what we're looking for in business? Big ROI. Little hinges that swing big doors.
We were talking about this and I summarised it for him when I said:
"To add to things is human, but to remove things is divine."
He said: "yes, nailed it, that's exactly it!"
There's a famous quote by Michelangelo (the artist, not the Ninja Turtle) and someone asked him how he made this beautiful marble sculpture.
Michelangelo said: "I saw the angel in the stone... and I carved to set it free."
Beautiful quote.
Quickest way to improve anything in any part of your life is probably to cut out dead weight. Get rid of anything that doesn't add to the bottom line. Cut the fat and the gristle. No one likes gristle anyway. Nasty stuff.
"To add is human. To remove is divine."
